Alati vaata asja ilusat poolt
Esimest postitust, kahes keeles jagades, märkasid seda minu kaks sõpra, kellel tekkis soov aidata neid kohendada lihtsamini mõistetavaks, et minu mõte jõuaks lugejani. Kõik see tõestas Edu Akadeemia ühte mõtet, et iga tegevuse jaoks on olemas õige inimene ja me ei pea tegema asju, mida me ei taha või ei oska. Tihtilugu kulutame liigselt energiat tehes endale ebameeldivaid asju, mida samal ajal mõni teine inimene saaks teha lendleva kergusega.
Samasugust mustrit näen ka ettevõtte loomises ja juhtimises. Kui sundida töötajat tegema asju, mis ei meeldi või mida ei oska, vähendame tema motivatsiooni ning samal ajal jääb keegi teine ilma meeldivast tegevusest. See ei tähenda muidugi kohe seda et iga rolli jaoks peaks palkama eraldi oma ala entusiasti. Näen, et pakkudes võimalusi tegeleda omale meelepärase ülesandega, aitab meeskonnas kujundada rõõmsaid ja edukaid inimesi.
Maailm on pidevas muutuses ning ka inimesed õpivad ja arenevad ajas. Seetõttu ei saa eeldada, et palgates enda meeskonda töötaja, jäävad tema mõttemaailm ja oskused samaks. Maailm areneb, ettevõte areneb ja ka meeskond vajab arengut.
Miks mitte ei võiks meie selles kaasa aidata?
Minu mõtted ja soovid võivad selle ettevõtmise jaoks olla liiga suured. Siiski see ei anna põhjust neist loobuda vaid püüda enda tegevuses saavutada võimalikult häid tulemusi. Ümbritsevate vigade märkamine ja kriitika kuulmine on need, mis minu mõtteid on kujundanud. Jah, leidub hetki, kus see tõmbab lainelt maha, aga vahest see “ringi ujumine” annabki uue suuna. Leian, et kriitika on positiivne suunanäitaja, aga ainult kriitikal ei ole tulemusi, vaid on vaja ka tegusid selles suunas. Üritan võimalikult vähe kritiseerida ja rohkem neid tegudesse tuua.

When I posted in two languages for the first time, two of my friends expressed their wish to help to proof-read my posts to make it more understandable so that readers would perceive my thoughts easily. All that proved what Edu Akadeemia was saying, for every thing there is a right person and we don’t have to do something that we don’t want to or we don’t know how to do. Often we waste too much time doing uncomfortable things that at the same time somebody else would enjoy.
Same pattern I see in creating and leading business. If we force workers to do something they don’t like or don’t know how to achieve, we reduce their motivation and at the same time they lose time they could’ve spent doing the things they like. It doesn't mean that in every position we need to hire these field enthusiasts. I see that giving chances to do things they like helps to make a happy and successful team.
World is constantly changing and people are learning new things and developing in time. So we can’t expect that people who we hire stay the same in their way of thinking and their set of skills. World develops, business develops and it also requires people to evolve with it.
So why not encourage the trend??
My thoughts and wishes can be too big for this venture. However, this doesn’t mean they should be abandoned, but I shall try to achieve the best possible results with what’s given. Noticing things around me and listening to critics is what shaped my mind. Yes, there have been moments when all felt like it was pushed off the cliffs but sometimes swimming around gives one a sense of a new direction. I find that critics are a great direction indicator. Just the criticism is not enough though to bring results but there is also needed action in that area. I try not to criticize much and not just agree with everything that is being said, but simply get inspiration for action from the feedback.
